@Vrixyz @fasterthanlime given Servo’s timelines even when it had Mozilla funding I think Ladybird’s release estimates might be a little bit optimistic to cover even a small amount of the edge cases that make up the modern internet but I’d be really happy to be proven wrong

@Vrixyz @fasterthanlime Servo’s been managed by the Linux Foundation for a couple of years now so it’s the closest thing to an indie engine but last time I checked its layout engine only supports sane modern things and ignores the 25 odd years of the web prior. But it is actively being worked on. Other than that you’re stuck with Google-funded Gecko/Blink or Apple-funded WebKit.
